  • "Host": Vehicle owners who list their vehicles for rental on the platform.

  • "Rental Period": The duration for which a vehicle is rented as per the booking.

Eligibility

To use our platform, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be at least 18 years old at the time of registration.

  2. Renters must hold a valid and verifiable driver’s license.

  3. Hosts must own or have the legal right to rent out their vehicles.

  4. Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during account registration and transactions.

  5. Comply with all applicable laws, including traffic and insurance regulations, in your jurisdiction.

User Responsibilities

For Hosts:

  • Ensure your vehicle is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition before each rental.

  • Verify that your vehicle is legally registered and covered by appropriate insurance for rental purposes.

  • Provide clear, accurate, and honest descriptions of your vehicle and its availability.

  • Respond promptly to inquiries and booking requests.

For Renters:

  • Hold a valid driver’s license and provide it for verification at the time of rental.

  • Ensure that you have adequate insurance coverage for the rental period.

  • Use the vehicle responsibly and for lawful purposes only.

  • Return the vehicle in the same condition as received, barring reasonable wear and tear.

Failure to adhere to these responsibilities may result in account suspension, fines, or legal action.

Insurance Requirements

​

Hosts:

  • You are required to maintain adequate insurance for your vehicle, covering it for rental use, including self-drive hire insurance where applicable.

  • Provide evidence of insurance upon request.

Renters:

  • Renters must obtain short-term rental insurance for the duration of their booking if required.

  • Any disputes or claims regarding accidents or damages during the rental period must be handled directly with the insurance provider.

Payments and Fees

​

  • O'Neill Car Rental charges a service fee of 12-17% per transaction. This fee is non-refundable.

  • Payments are securely processed through our third-party payment gateway.

  • Cancellation and refund policies are strictly enforced. For details, refer to our

Prohibited Activities

​

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  1. Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

  2. Using a rented vehicle for illegal activities, racing, towing, or off-road purposes unless explicitly authorized.

  3. Tampering with, damaging, or attempting to alter any part of the vehicle.

  4. Violating local traffic, parking, or vehicle regulations during the rental period.

Users found engaging in prohibited activities may face penalties, account termination, or legal action.

Cancellation Policy

​

For Renters:

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before the rental start date qualify for a full refund, excluding the service fee.

  • For cancellations made within 7 days, renters will receive a partial refund as per our Cancellation Policy.

  • No refund is issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of the rental start time or for no-shows.

For Hosts:

  • Hosts canceling a confirmed booking may face financial penalties and account restrictions.

  • Cancellations without valid reasons may result in suspension from the platform.

Exceptions: Extenuating circumstances, such as safety concerns, inclement weather, or uncontrollable travel disruptions, may qualify for leniency.

Liability

O'Neill Car Rental serves only as a marketplace connecting renters and hosts. As such:

  • We are not responsible for damages, accidents, or disputes arising during rentals.

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy or legality of any listings.

  • Any legal, financial, or insurance-related issues are solely the responsibility of the renter and host.

Users acknowledge and accept these limitations of liability when using our platform.

Data Protection and Privacy

O'Neill Car Rental complies with all applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your personal data is collected and used solely for the purpose of providing our services.

Termination of Service
